The Lake County Invasives Team came together in 2014 when a Memorandum of Understanding was signed establishing the group and uniting members in the effort to control invasive species within the county. By working collaboratively, the group is able to better manage invasive species populations across jurisdictional boundaries. The LCIT meetings and newsletters serve as forums to facilitate the sharing of resources, information and expertise.
The focus of the LCIT is on education, prevention, control, information exchange, and cooperation as it relates to non-native invasive terrestrial and aquatic plants and animals.
